Willie James Fulton

Willie James Fulton was born November 14, 1951, in Kingstree, SC to the late Paul and Louise Fulton. He departed this life peacefully at the Duke Hospice Hock Family Pavilion on Friday, August 2, 2024 in Durham, NC.

Willie was affectionately called “Sweets” by his family and friends because he was a humble and sweet person. He graduated from Hillside High School. He worked many years at RJ Reynolds Tobacco Warehouse. He also worked for Fulton’s and Associates llc until his health declined. Willie was a caring father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He was a tarheel fan and he enjoyed cooking out, watching western movies, and having fun with family and friends.

Willie was preceded in death by his parents Paul and Louise Fulton, and brother Thomas Felton Fulton.

Willie leaves to cherish his memories, two sons: Decory John Lofton (Ashley), Atlanta, GA and Willie Jovan Fulton, Durham, NC; four grandchildren: Kayla Panczak, East Haven, CT, Surayha Lofton, Lillie Mae Lofton, and Aiden John Lofton, all of Norwalk, CT; one great grandson, Wes Panczak, East Haven, CT; three brothers, William Paul Fulton, Ray Anthony Fulton, and Curtis Lee Fulton, all of Durham, NC; five sisters: Joanie Mae Shaw (Theopolis), Lorena Carpenter (Robert), Verline Scott, and Roslyn Foushee, all of Durham, NC, and Mary Ann Fulton, Windsor, Ct; Aunt: Annie Bradley of Charlotte, NC; an ex-wife, Janet Bunch, Durham, NC; a special cousin, Louis Footman, Durham, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
