Mr. Robert Leon Hester, son of the late Robert Henderson Hester and Beatrice Hester passed away September 24, 2024.

Leon was born in Orange County, NC May 13, 1959 and was educated in the Orange County School system. He had a strong work ethic in construction and as a handyman until his death.

Those who knew him knew he enjoyed fishing and giving a helping hand when asked. He was preceded in death by his father Robert Henderson Hester, his mother Beatrice Hester, three sisters: Mrs. Laura Terry, Mrs. Stella Pettiford, and Mrs. Barbara Daye and two brothers: Mr. Cavell Fuller and Mr. CJ Pettiford.

He leaves to cherish his memory, two brothers: Mr. James Ray Pettiford (Alease) of Pleasant Grove, NC. Mr. Stacy Hester of Roxboro, NC. Three sisters, Mrs. Lenda Pettiford (Willie) of Cedar Grove, NC. Mrs. Maxcine Barnes (Butch) of Pittsboro, NC, and Mrs. Audrey Craig (Darryl) of Mebane, NC and a host of nephews, nieces, and other relatives.
