Pauline McCauley

Our beloved, Pauline McCauley, departed to begin her new life on Sunday, August 24, 2025, at Duke University Hospital. She was born on November 13, 1948, in Durham, North Carolina, to the late Willie B McCauley and Gertrude Bagley McCauley.

Pauline is preceded in death by 12 siblings, two sons — Alton Poole and David Poole — her grandson, Johnnie Adams IV, and two granddaughters, Janda McCauley and Natasha Rhodes.

Pauline was a loving daughter, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She leaves behind a son, Jimmy McCauley (Cara), two daughters, Angela McCauley Womack (John), Tonia Bell, and a daughter-in-law, Sabrina McClain Poole; 10 grandchildren: Wa’Quita McCauley, Johnetta McCauley, Precious McCauley, Cardarris Thomas, Jimmy McCauley, LaQuana Poole, DiaVian Poole, Antonio Battle, Sherman Toomer, and Shanice Toomer. She also has 14 great-grandchildren. Her special cat, KittyBoo, will definitely miss Pauline.
