Lettitia T. Hodges, 51 transitioned to her eternal place of rest on her favorite day of the week Sunday, February 18, 2024 at Duke Regional Hospital, Durham, North Carolina. On July 28, 1972, Lettitia came into the world blessing her parents, Beatrice Hodges and James Williams and everyone with her infectious personality.
She attended the Durham Public School system, graduating from her beloved Hillside High School in 1991. After graduating from high school, she attended Appalachian State University in Boone, NC. Lettitia was affectionately known as "Tish" by those who loved her. She was a devoted and loyal mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, friend and sorority sister. Her most beloved roles were mother, grandmother, and a soldier for the Lord. She devoted all the time she could to serving at Now Church and spending time with her grandchildren. Those who know her well, know her love for eating chicken wings. She loved to eat chicken wings so much that she could be found frying and eating them sometimes as late as 3 am.
Lettitia loved God and was very proud to let anyone know. Witnessing and winning souls was where she thrived. She was a dedicated member of Now Church, Chapel Hill, NC from the very first day. She faithfully served in various capacities including as a greeter, assisting with baptisms, hospitality, and prayer teams. She also loved being a part of her Christian sorority, Sigma Tau Sigma, Inc. No matter what role she played, she gave it her all. She had a huge heart made of gold.
