Jeremy Humphrey

Jeremy German Humphrey was born on April 3, 1989, in Memphis, Tennessee, to Anthony Humphrey and Linda Humphrey. He later made North Carolina his home and graduated from Northern High School in Durham, North Carolina.

Jeremy was a loving son, brother, father, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend, but one of the roles he cherished most was being a father to his daughter, Savannah. Being Savannah’s father was one of Jeremy’s greatest joys. He took pride in every milestone and accomplishment in her life and was always eager to celebrate her, no matter how big or small the moment.

Family was also an important part of Jeremy’s life. He always wanted to be around the people he loved. Whether everyone was gathered for something special or simply spending time together, Jeremy wanted to be there.

Jeremy had a love for technology and computers and enjoyed keeping up with the newest things. He also loved movies—and if there was a new movie out, chances were Jeremy had already seen it or knew how to get it.

Those who knew Jeremy will remember his sense of humor. He was always joking, making people laugh, and trying to lift everyone’s spirits. He had a way of bringing laughter into the room and cheering people up.

Jeremy leaves to cherish his memory his loving daughter, Savannah Humphrey; his mother, Linda Lapp, (Bill), his father, Anthony Humphrey (Jeanett); his brothers, Antwain Humphrey and Travis Lapp (Erin); and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends who loved him dearly.

Jeremy will be deeply missed, forever loved, and remembered through the laughter, love, and memories he left with us.
