Francis Gatewood

Francis (Frank) D. Gatewood Jr. November 21, 1937-July 12, 2024

Francis (Frank) D. Gatewood Jr. 86, died peacefully on July 12th after a long illness. Born and raised in West Virginia before heading to the military to serve in the Air Force as a medic. Frank was employed by Trailways in Boston, then Concord Trailways in Concord, NH, where he was fondly remembered by many of his co-workers. He married the love of his life the late Bonnie (Fay). They moved to Canton, Massachusetts where they raised 4 Children Kelli-Ann McClentic (Doug), Kevin Gatewood (Kathlene), Kathy Pascarelli (Jim), and Bonnie Marino (Tom). While living in Canton he enjoyed many holidays and backyard parties with his extended family. His children have very fond memories of growing up in Canton where Frank every night would get his kids a treat at the Little White Store which they all think he kept in business. He then moved to Concord, New Hampshire where he worked for Concord Trailways until he retired and moved to Florida. When Frank retired to Florida he enjoyed many years of golfing and working on his koi pond. He briefly moved to Ohio before moving closer to his daughter Kelli-Ann and her family in North Carolina. He enjoyed spending time with Kelli’s family and she took wonderful care of him in his last years of life. Frank will be missed by his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. The family will be having a private celebration of life for Frank.
