Devandra Jawan Mack Jr

Devandra “VJ” Jawan Mack, Jr., a native of Durham NC was born on March 8, 2006 to Maquita Ryals-Mack and Devandra Jawan Mack. Devandra transitioned to be the Lord on Sunday August 11, 2024. He attended Durham County Public Schools. He graduated from Hillside High School in the Class of 2024.

Devandra was a genuine loving young man with a heart of gold. He was smart and would always say something to make you laugh. One of the names he went by as a child was Coo-da-pig (given by Goon). His family and friends knew him as “VJ”. He loved to play his PS5, sports and spending time with his entire family and friends.

Devandra was baptized by Reverend Charles C. Barnes, Sr. of Morehead Avenue Baptist Church.

On August 11, 2024, he departed his life in Durham NC. He was preceded in death by his father DeVandra Jawan Mack, paternal Grandfather Isaac Hayes. Left to cherish his memories, mothers Maquita Ryals-Mack and Deborah Adams, father Robert Louis Adams. Grandmothers, Johnnetta Mack, Pamela (Carl) Hatley and Sylvia Humphrey.
