Darryle Eugene Waller, son of Betty Lou Alston Waller and the late Jacob Waller was born August 9, 1960, in Durham County and departed this life on Thursday, March 28, 2024 at Wake Medical Center, Raleigh, North Carolina.

Darryle was a graduate of Hillside High School Class of 1978. He was employed at Duke Medical Center for 12 years as a Pharmacy Technician and was later employed at UNC Memorial Hospital for 3 years as an Animal Lab Technician and Angelica Linen Supply for 7 years as a Machine Operator. Darryle was a jack-of-all-trades, and he could always be depended on by the family to do any home repairs and maintenance jobs anyone needed. Darryle was a hard worker and was always ready and eager to do anything for anybody, at any time.

Darryle loved his family, especially his grandchildren, and spending time with them was his greatest joy. He loved to cook, go fishing and watching sports on tv. Darryle joined Markham Chapel Missionary Baptist Church at an early age and was the first candidate for baptism under the leadership of Pastor Richard McMillan. He later served as the first Videographer for the church, and he loved videoing the services and capturing special moments of the service with his camera.

Darryle leaves to cherish his memory; His mother, Betty Lou Waller, Durham, North Carolina, 3 daughters, Atalaya Liles of Durham, North Carolina, Tona Sadarryle Adkins of Durham, North Carolina, Alexandria Waller of Lansdale, Pennsylvania, 9 grandchildren; Alivia Unique Barbee, Kaleb Michael Adkins, Kennedy Nyree Adkins, Kaai Ohanna Souter, Kovi Pearcely Souter all of Durham, North Carolina; Christian Waller and Channing Bell of Lansdale, Pennsylvania; Achance Monique Liles and Fresh Amir Reginald Burnette of Durham, North Carolina. 1 loving and devoted sister, Deaconess Cynthia Mangum, 1 loving brother in-law who made sure he made all of his appointments, Deacon Johnny Mangum, Jr., 1 niece, Chakera Alexandria Mangum, 1 nephew Johnny Mangum, III, (Kristen), 1 great nephew, Jax Mangum; 4 aunts, Pastor Joanne Daniels, Lucy Alston, Wanda Alston and Monica Johnson, all of Durham, North Carolina; 3 uncles, Tony Alston of Durham, North Carolina, and Tim Alston of Baskerville, Virginia and Calvin Johnson of Durham, North Carolina., and a host of cousins, friends, and acquaintances. Darryle never met a stranger and to know him was to love him.
