Aryion Ramond Clendenning

Aryion “AJ” Clendenning, affectionately known as AJ, was born on August 16, 2009, in Durham, NC, to Taniesha Baines. He peacefully transitioned from this life on January 11, 2025, leaving behind an enduring legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories.

A lifelong resident of Durham, AJ was the beloved son of Taniesha Baines and the adored brother of A’siyah Clendenning. He was also deeply loved by his bonus parent, Shanell Alston, with whom he shared a special bond.

AJ was a vibrant, joyful young man with a zest for life that was felt by all who knew him. His passions included online gaming, where he connected with friends near and far, and athletics—particularly football and basketball. A true creative, AJ loved to express himself through TikTok dancing, and his infectious energy and bright smile lit up countless videos, spreading joy to everyone who watched. As a sophomore at Riverside High School, AJ’s positive spirit and warm heart left an indelible mark on his school community. His kindness, generosity, and ability to bring laughter to any room will never be forgotten.
